Akbar's Restaurant

Akbar's is a large Indian and Pakistani restaurant on Linthorpe Road and one of the more established curry houses in Middlesbrough. The menu covers familiar curries alongside balti dishes, grills and starters, with plenty of vegetarian choices as well. It’s very much an evening restaurant, opening from 5pm and staying later on Fridays and Saturdays. The size of the place makes it work well for bigger groups, and it has a full bar alongside the food. If you want a proper sit-down curry rather than a takeaway-style meal, Akbar's is one of the obvious central Middlesbrough options.
