Olivello

Olivello is a large Italian restaurant on Linthorpe Road with a menu that goes well beyond pizza and pasta. Alongside the Italian staples you’ll find steaks, seafood, risotto, burgers and parmos, so it’s the sort of place that works when a group can’t agree on one particular type of food. There’s also a separate bar area with cocktails and lighter bites, which means you can head in just for drinks or stay on after the meal. It has more of an occasion feel than some of the casual Italians around Middlesbrough while still working for family meals.
