Rio Brazilian Steakhouse
Rio Brazilian Steakhouse on Albert Road is one of the more distinctive places to eat in Middlesbrough if you’re after steak and plenty of it. The main draw is the Brazilian rodizio service, where different cuts of meat are brought round and carved at the table, with steaks such as picanha and sirloin alongside ribs, chicken and other cuts. You control the pace using the red and green card on your table, while the self-service salad bar gives you plenty of sides, salads, cheeses and lighter bits to go with it. There’s a cheaper lunch sitting as well as the full evening rodizio, plus an à la carte option if you don’t fancy going all-in on the unlimited service. It’s a good shout for birthdays, date nights or a group meal where you want something a bit different from the usual restaurant setup.
