The Blue Bell

The Blue Bell on Acklam Road is a pub, restaurant and hotel, but most people will know it just as somewhere to head for food, drinks and the sport. The big beer garden has had a proper revamp and now has outdoor TVs, so it’s a good shout for watching football or other live sport when the weather’s decent.

Food is served through the day, including breakfast and a wider pub-style menu, although unfortunately the parmos are no longer on it. You can still call in just for a pint, sit outside in the garden or stay for a full meal without needing to be a hotel guest.
