Hickory’s Smokehouse

Hickory’s Smokehouse on Fleck Way brought its American barbecue setup to Thornaby in late 2025, taking over the old Anson Farm site. The menu is built around smoked meats, burgers, barbecue trays and big sharing plates, with cocktails and a full bar alongside the food. Families are a big part of the setup too, with a kids’ menu, cinema room and Fro-Co station, while dogs are welcome in the bar and outside. There’s a large car park and outdoor seating, and weekend opening starts earlier for breakfast and brunch. If you fancy proper smokehouse-style food in Thornaby, Hickory’s is the obvious specialist option.
